After being crowned 2nd Runner-up in one of Ghana's most prestigious beauty pageants, I returned home to the Eastern Region with a mix of excitement and uncertainty. The fame was exhilarating, but I soon realized that popularity didn't necessarily translate to prosperity. As I navigated the complexities of life after the pageant, I began to look around me with fresh eyes.
I noticed the lush cocoa farms that dotted our region, but what struck me was the abundance of cocoa pod waste that often went unnoticed. As someone who had grown up in the region, I had overlooked this waste, but now it sparked my curiosity. I decided to take a bold step and research more about the potential uses of cocoa pod waste.
That journey of discovery led me to where I am today – creating authentic African black soap from cocoa waste. It's been a transformative experience, turning what was once discarded into something valuable and nourishing. Skinvive GH was born out of this passion to innovate, sustain, and empower.
My story is one of turning waste into wealth, and I'm proud to share it with you through every bar of Skinvive soap.
At SkinVive, we're passionate about nourishing your skin and our communities. For every product you purchase, 10% of our proceeds go towards training rural young women in cocoa growing communities. We're equipping them with skills in soap production and other Agribusiness initiatives, empowering them to build brighter futures.
